TESTING
This is the initial step in determining if a motel, hotel, apartment or a home has a methamphetamine contamination problem. The purpose of this test is to determine the presence or absence of methamphetamine contamination on surfaces.
Procedure
Four to eight surface wipe samples are taken from the site and processed by our lab partners and the results are provided within a few days. This test will not conclusively determine whether a dwelling or other property is or is not an active “meth lab” or if the dwelling is or is not hazardous to humans, but is considered a low cost first step in determining potential risks.
If the report analysis reveals the presence of methamphetamine levels, the next step is consultation with a Certified Industrial Hygienist for remediation. You may contact the Ohio Department of Health, Ohio EPA, Kentucky Department of Health, Kentucky EPA, Indiana Department of Health or Indiana EPA for more information on your states guidelines for cleanup.
